In this post we share an educational video on how to calibrate weighing scales.
The video goes through the various tests that should be performed during a scale calibration / scale recalibration.
These tests include:
- Eccentricity test
- Repeatability test
- Weighing test
- Minimum weight test
This video is based on our earlier blog post on weighing scale calibration. In that post you can find more details and also download the free white paper. To read that post, please click the below link:
Weighing scale calibration - How to calibrate weighing instruments
As any accurate measuring instruments, also weighing scales needs to be calibrated regularly using reference weights that are accurate, calibrated and traceable. In case of scales, there are a few standards specifying the calibration procedures (such as EURAMET Calibration Guide, NIST Handbook 44, OIML guides) .
Anyhow, enough talking, please watch the video below:
The mobile application used in this video is the Beamex bMobile calibration application, that can be used together with Beamex CMX Calibration Management Software for completely digital and paperless flow of calibration data.
I hope you find the video useful. As mentioned, for more detailed instructions, please visit our other scale calibration blog post on this topic.
